The Director

David M. Johnson, Ph.D. (Finance, University of Cincinnati, 1989) is the sponsor of Business As Missions at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. He is a Professor of Finance with 23 years of university-level teaching experience at Faulkner, Harding University, and Pepperdine University. Dr. Johnson lives in Montgomery with his wife Marlea. They have two sons, Zach and Ryan, ages 25 and 23. Zach teaches English at a university in Ningbo, China, and Ryan serves in the 3rd Ranger Btn, U.S. Army.

Dr. Johnson has written and presented a number of papers on economic development topics, some of which are included in the Research section. His travels have taken him to five continents. The most recent trip was in the spring, 2006, a 9-day trip to China. In May-July of 2006, David and Marlea will travel to Uganda and Rwanda, where he will teach at the School of Finance and Banking in Kigali, the capital city.
